This a capella programme shows off not only the inimitable virtuosity and musicianship of the BBC Singers but also the wealth of fine choral music which has emerged from Australia and New Zealand. Framed by works which celebrate the indigenous peoples and cultures of the two countries are reflective pieces by some of their major living composers and a group of traditional settings by Percy Grainger, that inveterate Australian traveller, inventor, performer and collector of European folk songs.
This event is part of the 2011 City of London Festival.
