One of New Zealand’s finest ensembles, the NZTrio is well known for tackling cutting edge repertoire from around the Pacific Rim. Their focused energy will thrill listeners in a concert of works (mostly commissioned by them) from Chris Cree Brown, Chris Gendall, Jack Body, Wayan Yudane, John Psathas and Judy Bailey. It also includes The Year Without a Summer, the work resulting from their Trans-Tasman Composer Exchange collaboration with Stuart Greenbaum.
The Trans-Tasman Composer Exchange, a joint project of the Australian Music Centre and SOUNZ, the Centre for New Zealand Music with funding provided in alternate years by the Music Board of the Australia Council and Creative New Zealand.
