Marc Taddei conducts the Vector Wellington Orchestra in the world premiere of djinn, the new marimba concerto from John Psathas written especially for Portugese virtuoso Pedro Carniero.
This is something of a reunion as, together with Michael Houstoun, Carneiro performed and recorded Psathas' double concerto "View from Olympus":http://sounz.org.nz/works/show/16047 under Marc Taddei's baton.
Also featuring i this concert are Stravinsky's Danses Concertantes and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E flat Major, Op 55, Eroica.
