In a quadruple reunion, the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra welcome their former Music Director Marc Taddei back for this concert which features Portugese percussionist Pedro Carneiro in a new work from John Psathas.
This CSO concert is part of Carneiro and Taddei premier tour of the djinn Marimba Concerto John Psathas has written especially for them.
Carneiro is one of the very few percussion players to have established himself as one of the foremost global solo percussionists. Together with Michael Houstoun, Carneiro performed and recorded Psathas' double concerto "View from Olympus":http://sounz.org.nz/works/show/16047 under Marc Taddei's baton.
