Keith Lewis (tenor) and Michael Houstoun (piano) present a recital spanning over 300 years of song, from Henry Purcell, through Samuel Barber and Benjamin Britten. The recital culminates in the premiere of a song cycle setting from "Jenny McLeod":http://sounz.org.nz/contributor/composer/1071 of seven poems by Janet Frame.
This concert is part of the New Zealand International Arts Festival Chamber Music weekend.
