Two of New Zealand's premier pianists present a lunchtime concert of duets by Poulenc, Mendelssohn, Bizet and Mike Nock.
Michael Houstoun and Diedre Irons premiered Mike Nock's Southern Suite at this year's Festival of Colour in Wanaka. Southern Suite takes its inspiration from the southern landscape and has section titles like ‘Copland Crossing’ and ‘Wanaka Dreaming’.
Mike Nock and Michael Houstoun have developed a strong musical and artistic relationship over the last few years and Houstoun included 12 Nock pieces on his Tui-award winning "Inland":http://sounz.org.nz/manifestations/show/8077 album.
