"Ensemble Selisih":http://www.ensemble-selisih.de/, a visiting new music ensemble from Freiburg, Germany, consists of baritone, alto and soprano saxophones, flute and piano. The ensemble is committed to performing and commissioning new works and working with emerging composers to realise new sound worlds for this unusual combination of instruments. The group has established a firm connection with this country through their New Zealand flute player, Elizabeth Farrell.
This concert includes new works by Dylan Lardelli and Robin Toan commissioned by Ensemble Selisih through Creative New Zealand in 2008 and works by visiting composer Dieter Mack as well as Chang-soon Ryu and Michael Norris.
