Jack Body's transcription Melodies is followed by Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto (soloist Cho-Liang Lin) and De Vlieger's arrangement of seven linked excerpts from Richard Wagner's Tristan and Isolde. The NZSO are conducted by their Music Director Pietari Inkinen.
A pre-concert talk will be given at 5:45pm in the Limes Room by Wagner expert Peter Bassett.
