English conductor Paul Daniel leads the NZSO-National Youth Orchestra of 2009 in their 50th Anniverary tour of the three main centres. The concert will feature Only to the Highest Mountain, the selected work from the "2009 Composer in Residence, Natalie Hunt":http://sounz.org.nz/news_articles/show/168?category=archived.
Other works on the programme include Ravel's Piano Concerto for the Left Hand, featuring the outstanding young NZ pianist John Chen, and Mahler's Symphony No. 7.
