Maaka Fiso's participation as a top 12 contestant on the reality TV show The X Factor New Zealand turned him into a household name as he wowed a national audience week after week.
Due to the success and exposure the show created for Maaka, he has shared the stage with the likes of Stan Walker, Aaradhna, Sammy J and Tevin Campbell.
His debut single Movin' On went to national radio in only a matter of days.
He is a nine-time nominee for the National Waiata Māori Music Awards and won the Best Male Artist title at the 2019 awards event.
