Benjamin Sneyd-Utting

Benjamin Sneyd-Utting is a Wellington-based composer and cellist. He began composing early, with an entry in a collection of New Zealand works—Take Flight—at age eight. During secondary school, he achieved first place three times in the composition section of the NZCT Chamber Music Contest, beginning an ongoing love with chamber music. He is currently completing a BMus majoring in Composition and Classical Performance at Victoria University of Wellington, while pursuing postgraduate study in linguistics.
