This outstanding collection of fanfares commissioned by the Auckland Philharmonia to mark the new millennium is a landmark CD in the New Zealand orchestral repertoire. Simon Foster comments 'this CD is a triumph for all concerned. On this evidence New Zealand is rich in remarkably talented composers, any one of which needs to be taken seriously as (say) a Thomas Ades, James McMillan, Eino Rautavaara etc..
