The 'Third' Richard

Concert

The story of a composer, banned by the Nazis, ignored in New Zealand, his music never heard ... until now: composer/architect Richard Fuchs.

This Film and concert evening is co-hosted by B'nai Brith and Beth Shalom, in remembrance of the Holocaust and ANZAC Day.

A concert of music by German composer Richard Fuchs, who arrived in NZ in 1939, will be performed, including music not heard since 1932. Musicians featured are Gina Sanders (soprano), Kay Shacklock (piano) and the Jade String Quartet.

This will be followed by The Third Richard, a documentary film of his life as an architect, painter and composer. "Kaffeehaus" supper will follow with an opportunity to meet the filmmakers and family of Richard Fuchs.
