During her second year of study at the University of Canterbury in 2021, her piece Azimuth was selected for performance by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra at the Todd Young Composer Awards. Her piano trio work Patea was also selected for the workshop round of the 2021 NZTrio Composing Competition. She has had two pieces selected by the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra for their Composers Workshops in 2018–2019. As a Student Ambassador for CSO, Eva has performed alongside the CSO and NZSO, and has also performed as a member of UCCYO and The All Girl Big Band. In 2021 Eva was invited to play in the Christchurch Symphonic Brass for their main season of the year followed by a guest student group concert at the end of their performing year. In 2022 Eva was then accepted into the VUW NZSM composition and performance programmes to complete her Bachelor of Music, and soon after was awarded an Inspire Foundation grant from the Canterbury region Inspire Community.
Eva has also received the position of emerging composer part of the AWE chamber festival 2022, and was recently accepted once more for the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Todd Young Composer Awards. She hopes to pursue a career in film music composition and classical performance in piano and trumpet, incorporating a love for cultures, literature, history and nature into her chosen career.
