Salina Fisher, whose work Rainphase won the SOUNZ Contemporary Award in 2016, is nominated for the second time with Tōrino - echoes on pūtōrino improvisations by Rob Thorne, for string quartet.
Westlake Symphony Orchestra Recordings
In 2015, SOUNZ facilitated the Westlake Symphony Orchestra Recordings, a project to record and promote New Zealand orchestral works suitable for school and non-professional orchestras. This has expanded to an annual event that includes filming of the performance. Video of all the works recorded so far can be found below.
