Programme Note
This short sequence of dances originally formed a little interlude in the middle of the second act of my opera, A Unicorn for Christmas. This act takes place in Tudor England, so the music has an appropriate period flavour, though with no pretensions to authenticity. The three names play dances play without breaks.
