The thirty-two works by fifteen composers in this album were chosen with the intention of presenting works of moderate difficulty and wide appeal. The indirect reference to New Zealand’s national sport doesn’t mean that these are New Zealand’s “top” composers or that they are necessarily rugby enthusiasts!
This album has become indispensible to teachers and pianists over the last 10 years and is considered to include an excellent selection from the NZ piano repertoire suitable for both recitals and examinations.
