Rafiloza bin Rafii is an artist who knows no barriers. His status as an outstanding exponent of traditional Minangkabau (West Sumatran) music is not the limit of his musical explorations. He is equally comfortable collaborating with musicians from other cultures including composers and performers of contemporary Western music. this recording is a sampling of Rafiloza’s work at Victoria University and includes performances of traditional Minangkabau music, new compositions based on traditional music, and various improvisations and collaborations with New Zealand musicians
