Quasi Concertino

Concert

A new chamber group featuring the instrumentation of bassoon and string trio, "quasi concertino" takes it's name from the 2012 work by Alex Taylor for this combination.

Inspired by the wealth of repertoire for solo woodwind instrument and string trio from the classical period to the present day, "quasi concertino" gives a new twist on the genre with a focus on New Zealand based composers for it's debut concert.

Anthony Watson's iconic "Bagatelles" will be performed alongside Alex Taylor's quartet and new works by Chris Watson, James Gardner and Samuel Holloway in October at the Tim Melville Gallery.

Please join us for an exciting afternoon of contemporary music at the Tim Melville Gallery, as part of Artweek Auckland, performed against a stunning backdrop of artwork by Alberto Garcia-Alvarez

Refreshments will be served in the Gallery following the concert!
