As part of New Zealand Music Month 2010, Radio New Zealand Concert features the late Hirini Melbourne as their Composer of the Week.

This series begins on Sunday (23 May) morning at 9am with a half-hour broadcast presented by Paul Diamond which will present an introduction to Hirini Melbournel’s life and music. The programme will be repeated at 7pm on Monday (24 May) evening.

Each weekday morning this following week (24–28 May) between 9 and 10am, further excerpts of his works will give an overview of his music and his contribution to both the musical and educational landscape of Aotearoa New Zealand.
