Biography
Sharon is predominantly a composer of a capella choral music- suitable for all levels. However, she also has a strong focus on education with her work.
Her work “See The Clouds” based on the Mt. Ruapehu Eruptions for SATB choir is based on an original text has been studied for NCEA Level 1 and others up to and including NCEA Level 3.
Some of her vocal works for Soprano and Piano have also been studied at universities in NZ and performed and broadcast in competitions and recital overseas. She has won RSCM Composition Competitions and her sacred work is well-known in NZ, England and the USA.
Passionate about choral music, her work has been performed and broadcast and recorded by the National Youth Choir of NZ, The Orlando Singers, The Oriana Singers, The NZ Festival Choir and others. A published author, many of her works are based on original texts. She has much work available for piano students and some for flute students also. Her work has been performed in Canada, Australia, England, Europe, NZ, Tahiti and the USA.
