A Woven Web of Light
for treble-voice choir, horn and piano
About
With the prospect of new women’s choir in Auckland, I offered to write a piece for the inaugural concert. The choir’s name, Luminata Voices, had prompted a concert around the theme of light, and this short poem fits with that theme. The poet, disappointed that the clouds obscure the stars, creates her own images of the stars which keep at bay “the jealous night”.
