A Song of Flowers is undated and the manuscript is found in the papers of Ina Bosworth, the stage name of Geraldine McNeish (1894–1975) in the Alexander Turnbull Library. Bosworth performed as a singer and violinist in England and France during the First World War. She was the mother of New Zealand author James McNeish.
Nothing is known of the poet J. Charteris.
