Sea to Shore was commissioned by Jenny Firth for the Silver Jubilee of North Shore Chorale in 2011. The text was written by the composer and describes the sea, the islands in the Hauraki Gulf, the local flora and birdlife and ends with a sly dig at the suburb of Devonport. The work is in three movements.
