Motes in the Sunlight is a setting of a short section of the writings of the 15th century English mystic Margery Kempe, describing her visions and spiritual experiences. It was commissioned for the 44th World Viola Congress in Wellington in September 2017 and premiered by Helen and Sophia Acheson.
