About

Here electronic sounds transform the sound world around the recorder, put it in a new space, yet relate to ‘familiar’ aspects of the instrument like tonguing and breathing. Electronic sounds derive from recorder sounds which have been processed to highlight timbral aspects of the instrument but extend reality: use of granulation allows very long physically impossible sounds, and use of spatial motion of various types allows the instrument to ‘play’ whilst orbiting in a large virtual space.
