This is a choral piece for a female choir S1, S2, A (and some further subdivisions). It is a musical setting of a children's story by Joy Cowley. Cricket remains cheerful, despite a storm which sends his friends into hiding. The climax of the piece is a three part canon as the storm builds to a flood.
