This is a gently flowing, mainly homophonic piece for SATB in Db major and 5/4 time.
The Dove wants to offer a sprig of hope and joy to the waiting ark, to the future. The melodic lines are mainly stepwise and the overall feeling is one of simplicity. It requires sustained tonal control.
