About

A setting of Greg O'brien's poem The Non-Singing Seats which describes, with imagination and humour, an impression of the impact organist and musician Maxwell Fernie had on worshippers at St Mary’s of the Angels in Wellington.

Helen says: "The poem also found its way into Greg's two etchings inspired by the life and music of Max Fernie. Greg donated these etchings to the Lilburn House while I was resident composer there."
