Through 2008 the APO partnered with The EDGE and NBR Opera in a project which paired six composers and six opera emerging artists in the creation of a new work for voice and orchestra. "Read more about the project here":/news_articles/show/53?category=archived.
This concert represents the culmination of this project. The six composer/performer pairings and works are:

Penny Dodd and Barbara Paterson (soprano): Medea
Jeff Lin and Michael Gray (baritone): Exile from the Native Land
Anthony Ritchie and Matthew Landreth (baritone): Rain
Matthew Crawford and Barbara Graham (soprano): A Place to Stand
David Hamilton and Hadleigh Adams (baritone): Breaking the Quiet
