Three Auckland Nocturnes is a 10-minute work in three continuous movements, for full plectrum orchestra plus optional flute and accordion. It was commissioned from Yvette Audain by the "Auckland Mandolinata Orchestra":http://www.mandolinata.net/ and will be performed by them here as part of their in-house concert for the Federation of Australasian Mandolin Ensembles' (FAME) 2008 International Festival.
