Yvette Audain's Three Auckland Nocturnes, which was originally commissioned by the Auckland Mandolinata Orchestra, was included in this concert by the West Australian Mandolin Orchestra, directed by Robert Schulz. This performance was one result of Yvette's brief trip over to Sydney in January 2008, for the FAME International Mandolin Conference, where the Auckland Mandolinata Orchestra performed the work exposing it to a wider audience.
