- Commissioned by Stroma for performance in November 2015, in a concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Douglas Lilburn. At the time of composition of this work, John Elmsly was Creative NZ/Jack Richards Composer in Residence at Te Kōkī New Zealand School of Music and living in the house at 22 Ascot St, Thorndon where Douglas Lilburn lived for the latter half of his life.
