Programme Note
Heavenly Dance No. 1 was written as a tribute to Charlotte Barnard whose love of music lasted for nearly a century and who is probably still dancing up in the heavenly clouds. The dance is to be played as lightly and softly as possible and my organ ‘research’ took place on an instrument in a Sydney church at Hunter’s Hill so range and registration is taken from this. Players, however are to choose the high stop which they feel works best for their instrument and venue.
