i can feel them all around me...
hovering close by,
just within my lumination.
watching, waiting,
catching my breath as it escapes me.
liquid rhythms
just on the edge of dancing -
freely evolving and defying the cage of metre.
Chanting, elastic and erratic songs
stretch out and circle around my centre,
like planets and moons
unfolding their secrets.
these satellites sing themselves into being
strange harmonies
taking their own course,
songs of their own singing.
strange this song,
this present brightness.
