Programme Note

Remote Presence explores the full range of the piano and employs dense chords to produce a harmonic language that creates a predominantly wistful work. At times, however, explosive or more playful sections interrupt the reflective contemplation. The time domain is also investigated with the slow chordal movement often stretched or compressed to create tension. (Note by the composer)
