The soundtrack from this highly successful movie is composed and conducted by Peter Scholes and performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. The film was Niki Caro's (Whalerider) first feature and the music reflects both the epic nature of the NZ scenery in which the film is set and the cross-cultural nature of the story.
