Recording

A collection of orchestral works by Edwin Carr including his Symphony No.1, commissioned by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Igor Stravinsky’s birth. Also included are the Gaudeamus Overture and his Symphony No.2, subtitled ‘the Exile’ as a reference to the German Jewish poet and scholar Karl Wolfskehl.
