- Lilburn: Prodigal Country
cassette
The inclusion of Douglas Lilburn’s Drysdale Overture, A Birthday Offering, and Prodigal Country on one cassette marked a significant issue in Kiwi Pacific’s New Zealand Composer Edition. Following their introduction by medium of a radio broadcast, two of the works (Drysdale and Prodigal Country) waited a further 44 years for revival. Prodigal Country actually appeared on record before it had received its first public performance!
