Bel Canto shared top prize this year at the 31st International Youth & Music Festival in Vienna and this CD is a document of the programme the choir sang on its Austrian Tour. Bel Canto, directed by Jean Cumming, is a senior treble choir of 30 female voices from Burnside High School in Christchurch. The recording is dedicated to the memory of the director’s husband, William Cumming.
