The concert with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, at which tis recording was made, was given during a 6-week tour in July and August 1982, when the National Youth Choir of New Zealand gave a total of 25 formal concerts and recitals in Los Angeles, Great Britain, Europe and Singapore.
