At last, Christopher Marshall’s “L’Homme Arme” is available on commercial CD. Although well known for his choral works, Marshall’s theme and variations for wind ensemble has received numerous performances in the United States and elsewhere. This work is concerned with humanity, and reflects on past tragedies generally, but also serves as a more personal response to the 2002 invasion of Iraq.
