Lilburn: Symphony No. 2 and other works
vinyl (LP or EP)
This LP was originally intended to be conducted by Alex Lindsay, but the project was delayed because of his untimely death. All the organisations, composers, conductors and performers involved had a close association with him and agreed that this recording should be a tribute to him.
Funding was provided by APRA and the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council (now Creative New Zealand). All artist fees were donated to the Alex Lindsay Memorial Award which continues to provide opportunities for young instrumental soloists to play with an orchestra.
