4th Generation was released on the 40th anniversary of the Lilburn Electroacoustic Music Studios at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington. When Lilburn established the studio it was the first electroacoustic music studio in the Southern Hemisphere and, four generations later, continues to be utilised by composers creating exciting and innovative works.
