Firestarters 1 is a collection of fourteen miniatures for solo piano by which includes works by Gareth Farr, Helen Fisher and Anthony Ritchie, as well as works by two Australian composers (Stuart Greenbaum and Paul Stanhope).

The music is suitable for performers of approximately Grade V to Grade VII ability, and the volume is accompanied by a CD recording of the works performed by New Zealand pianist Emma Sayers. The publication was edited by Christine Archer.
