Richard Fuchs - 1932 String Quartet and Songs

CD

Richard Fuchs was a German composer, exiled from his own country, who settled in New Zealand in the 1940s and wrote many works while living here.

This CD of chamber works was recorded at a special concert co-hosted by B’nai Brith and Beth Shalom in April 2009 at the Raye Freedman Arts Centre, Auckland, in remembrance of the Holocaust and ANZAC Day. The documentary film The Third Richard was also screened.
