This double CD is a re-release which once more makes available two very popular CDs of music by Gareth Farr which were ‘out of print’.

The first includes the eponymous track: From the Depths Sound the Great Sea Gongs along with four other diverse orchestral works, and the second includes both the log drum’n’bass and urenui mixes of the music Gareth wrote for the opening of Te Papa Tongarewa, the Museum of New Zealand in 1996.
