    Stars is a 24 hour work for Indian female singer and electronic music backing. It is based on Blair’s interpretation of the concept of Indian gandharva music – through listening to this music a positive healthy effect can be created for the individual, society and environment.

    In keeping with gandharva music its time theory (called samaya chakra) there are 8 sections of 3 hours each (called praharas) with different qualities to reflect those different periods of the day or night.

    On top of the electronic music backing is performed freeform authentic Indian singing which appears for 22.5 minutes in the middle of each section ie. the 3 hours are divided by 8 equalling 22.5 minutes.
