Enjoy art, discussion, poetry, music, and wine at Te Papa’s monthly art evening. September’s theme illuminates the exhibition RITA ANGUS: Life & Vision.

6pm–7pm: Creative Lives
A panel discussion with biographers of three creative New Zealanders. Join Jill Trevelyan, author of Rita Angus: An artist’s life and co-curator of the exhibition, Philip Norman , Montana Award winning biographer of Douglas Lilburn , and Gordon Ogilvie, writer of the acclaimed Denis Glover: his life, in a discussion chaired by Lydia Wevers.

This will be followed from 7.10pm–7.40pm with readings of the poetry of Rita Angus’s contemporaries by well-known Wellington poets Jenny Bornholdt and Gregory O’Brien and from 7.45pm–8.30pm a live solo performance in a cafe setting from singer-songwriter Michaela Manley.
