In 1996, the Artists to Antarctica programme was established in partnership with Creative New Zealand. Since then artists from many disciplines have been inspired by the ‘white continent’ and this festival in Wellington celebrates many of the outcomes of the scheme. Events involving New Zealand music are listed below. Most of the events are concentrated within the week April 13-18, but several of the exhibitions will continue longer – theNewDowse exhibition, for example, runs until 17 August!
